Salisbury, Md.-The fifth-ranked softball team fell to second-ranked Salisbury 5-2 Saturday in the Bombers' final game at the Sea Gull Tournament.
The Bombers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by senior third baseman Amanda Illinger (Norwich Free Academy/Hanover, Conn.). Salisbury tied the game in the top of the fifth inning and plated three runs in the top of the sixth. Sophomore Nicole Cade (Beaverton/Portland, Ore.) allowed four runs on four hits and suffered her first loss of the season.
Sophomore Carly Myers (Claremont Secondary/Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) made the start and allowed one run on five hits and struck out three. Senior first baseman Kaitlyn Dulac (Bay View/East Greenwich, R.I.) went two-for-four with an RBI.
Ithaca visits Cortland Wednesday at 3 p.m.
